DARC – Database and Analysis of Road Crash App for Dhaka Metropolitan Police

Getting Started

DARC is an app designed for Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Division officers to quickly and accurately record road crash information. A rudimentary analysis dashboard and mapping of blackspots are available.

● To download the app, search for "Police Accident Data Entry" on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and follow the installation instructions.
● A DMP DARC account is required to use DARC. Traffic Police should ask their superiors for an account, if one has not yet been provided.
● The DARC app is not for use by the general public.

Navigating the App

DARC offers a variety of features to help on-duty traffic officers with road crash data, including the following:

● Recording Road Crash Information: Easily input and store data related to road crashes, including location accuracy using GPS, photos to record scene and/or incident details, anonymized counts of involved parties and vehicles, and severity of road crash.
● Dashboard for Road Crash Statistics: Access a dashboard displaying rudimentary statistics on accidents
● Maps of Road Crashes and Blackspots: View maps highlighting areas prone to accidents, assisting in resource allocation and preventive measures.

Troubleshooting

● Trouble logging in? Please make sure you are entering the correct account ID and password first. If you have forgotten your password, contact support at the details below.
● Experiencing technical issues? Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app and make sure you have the latest version by checking the version details in the Account Settings page.
● Unable to resolve an issue? Contact support (below) and provide a description of the issue, including any error message and the type of device you are using. Optionally include screenshots, if possible.
